A lush green chair in a Gaston Y Daniela velvet provides a contemporary pop against more traditional elements such as the fireplace. The Clouds artwork is from Coco Republic. A selection of cushions from Aura By Tracie Ellis, Coco Republic and Sparkk, along with a spray of beautiful flowers, provide the finishing touches.
Courtyard
An internal courtyard brings nature into the middle of the home, with potted magnolia trees doubling as a screen for the wall next door. The chic teak ‘St Lucia’ sofa and yellow cushions are from Coco Republic.
Dining room
Northern light from the internal courtyard falls into the dining room, creating an inviting entertaining spot. An elegant French-style table is matched with ‘Lenoir’ chairs from La Maison that have been jazzed up with striking ‘Peacock Feathers’ and ‘The Cranes’ fabrics from Signature Prints. A vibrant Akira Isogawa ‘Natsu’ rug from Designer Rugs grounds the space, while a transparent Kartell lamp adds a modern edge.
Sitting room
In the formal living space, sunny yellow cushions and graphic ‘Ovington’ armchairs from Mansours are teamed with a gorgeous ottoman made by Sofarie in Westbury Textiles ‘Treillage’ fabric, which ties in with a custom pendant lampshade and Ikea curtains updated with a matching trim. American oak floorboards, given a specialty matt finish with grey oil burnished into the wood, were laid throughout the home for their hardiness and enduring colour.
Kitchen
The centrepiece of the stylish kitchen is a 3.6 metre-long island bench, topped with slabs of Calacatta marble. The splashback of inexpensive pressed metal, found at Chippendale Restorations, was spray painted in Dulux Domino to team with the Caesarstone benchtop in Raven and the custom-made 2-pac cabinetry.
Main bedroom
A custom-made grey bedhead from Sofarie and simple white bedlinen – seek similar from Country Road – set a classic tone. The soft blues of the ‘Casablanca’ rug from Armadillo & Co tie in beautifully with a feature wall in Signature Prints ‘Japanese Floral’ wallpaper, which conceals a dreamy walk-in robe.
Ensuite
A wall of mosaic Calacatta tiles from Marble & Ceramic Corp lends a subtle shimmer and contrasts with the matt cabinetry, painted in Dulux Domino. The luxurious freestanding tub was an Ebay find.
