2020 Dulux Colour Awards Finalists Announced

If you are looking for colour and architectural design inspiration, you’ve just struck gold.

Roll out the red carpet, err, sofa…

Australia’s brightest stars have just been announced, with the iconic 2020 Dulux Colour Awards Finalists revealed. And there is some serious talent stirring those paint pots. Luminous, in fact.

The prestigious awards, now its 34th year, received over 400 entrants. Professionals were encouraged to submit entries that demonstrate their exceptional use of colour across a range of categories. There is also a category for students.

Finalists for the program were chosen across six categories

  • Commercial Interior: Public and Hospitality (23 finalists)
  • Commercial Interior: Workplace and Retail (21 finalists)
  • Commercial and Multi-Residential Exterior (15 finalists)
  • Residential Interior (27 finalists)
  • Single Residential Exterior (10 finalists)
  • Student (11 finalists).

Creative genius

The entrants combined projects are a goldmine of colour, style, mood, design, and interiors and exterior inspiration. And if you are partial to a design trend, you’ll see a fantastic array of reinterpretations in their work.

And the winners are…

The winners will be determined by leading figures in the design industry, Adele Winteridge, Director of Foolscap Studio; Jean-Pierre Biasol, Director of Biasol Design Studio; Jonathan Richards, Director of Richards Stanisich Architecture; Kathryn Robson, Director of Robson Rak Architects & Interiors; and Toni Brandso, Director of New Zealand’s Material Creative.
