If you’re looking for inspiration to get you home in order but don’t know where to start, take a leaf out of one of the Insta-books of these incredibly organised women.
They’re sure to inspire an overhaul of your home and storage but at the very least, will get you thinking about what the possibilities are.
We first met these domestic doyennes when they made over Gwyneth Paltrow’s pantry but their service goes beyond the kitchen to organise every room in the house. The results are precision in pictures. Based in the US, they also offer an online service that entails a “virtual package” with email correspondence and a full set of instructions on where to put things and an accompanying shopping list for where to buy suggested products. Or glean inspiration and terrific tips from their scores of projects, from colour-coordinated shoe walls to craft cupboards and more pantry perfection.
Marie Kondo is now a worldwide phenomenon, following the rise of her best selling book, “The life changing magic of tidying up”. Practically speaking though, her ideas for living an organised life using the KonMari method are both simple, and timeless.
Victoria Oderland, a Swedish mother of four is everything in style and substance - living slowly, mindfully and well, stylishly. She also uses the KonMari method but the greatest inspiration stems from her elegant aesthetic and fresh approach to bringing nature into the home. A little Nordic nous goes a long way.
