1. Scene stealer

A black 1600mm natural stone tub found at Renovator Auctions is the showcase piece in this bathoom. The timber vanity top and window shelf were made from recycled blackbutt timber found at Wyamba Bush Furniture & Slabs.

2. Open and shut case

To invite in a beachside feel, Luxaflex ‘Silhouette’ shutters from Barnes Interiors were installed. Their design brings a classy Hamptons vibe to an otherwise quite modern interior.

3. Full circle

The ‘Rondo’ bench-mount basins from Highgrove Bathrooms were a must-have, and their round shape and colour soften some of the room’s hard lines. The wet zone’s generous size allows for a 1500mm ‘Phoenix’ wall-mounted vanity in 2-pac Gloss White, also from Highgrove Bathrooms, which adds to the relaxed-luxe feeling and complements the modern design.

4. Modern match

Statement tiles are guaranteed to introduce impact, and can create any mood from modern to classic. The ‘Dark Concrete Hex’ 280mm x 280mm tiles from Corrimal Discount Tiles & Bathroomware that cover the shower walls mirror the distinctive black bath.

5. Tricks of the trade

The recessed shower shelf keeps the shower clutter-free and emphasises the sleek, minimalist design.

Modern moments

Eschewing white is one way to draw modernity into a bathroom. Here, 600mm x 600mm ‘Fuji’ Concrete Grey floor tiles from Renovator Auctions match the overall colour scheme and are the perfect foundation, bringing together the room’s stand-out features.
