Fresh is best
A bright tablecloth and a bunch of fresh flowers can provide an instant colour update to your dining table, the perfect solution for last minute entertaining!
John Paul Urizar
Art is a simple way to introduce colour to your home as well as providing a palette for you to work with when accessorising. Match ornaments or furnishings to the predominant colours in the picture to really tie your look together.
Bedrooms are the perfect zone to play with colour and pattern – by simply updating your quilt cover you can completely change the look of a room. "Use a maximum of three colours, making sure they complement each other", say HB stylist Rachel Peters.
Mix it up
Soft furnishings such as cushions, throws and rugs are a great way to add a pop of colour to your home. Don't be scared to play with different prints and textures in similar colourways or tones that work well together.
As bathrooms are often quite neutral and permanent spaces, adding colourful or patterned towels is a great way to create a colour scheme that can be easily updated.
Splash of colour
A bright or patterened splashback is a great way to make a colour statement in the kitchen. Be sure to choose a colour that you won't tire of and that works well with all the other finishes in your kitchen.
