After living in Los Angeles for over ten years, Jessica Alba and Cash Waren have shared the stunning interiors of their new Los Angeles home and her self-confessed “dream house” is what can only be described as picture perfect. We are in love.
Talking with Architectural Digest, Alba says that she and husband Cash, “Wanted a place to watch our kids play and grow up,” and when she viewed this property ahead of it being listed on the market, in under 20 minutes she knew it held the potential to realise that dream.
A full-scale renovation ensued over the next 18 months and Alba’s collected inspiration and many Pinterest boards came into their own – mixing her love of old-world French design with a contemporary lifestyle and the life-changing functionality of removable slip covers! Her skills as a moving, shaking, powerhouse Girl Boss quickly swung into action; “She’s organized, hyper-focused, and super-decisive – there is no vacillation,” designer Tommy Clements https://www.instagram.com/clementsdesign/ told AD of the star’s approach to the renovation process, going on to describe the mouth-watering moodboard of natural textures, fabrics and reclaimed timbers.
Just like any passionate renovator, Alba herself sourced a substantial amount of the raw materials and furnishings for the rebuild – local hardwares, countless pieces found online that were ripe for upcycling into their dream home – from play equipment for their three kids to the stove of her dreams.
Despite it’s grand appearance, it was important to Alba to create a home that would withstand life with children. Case in point is the dazzling marble fireplace in the formal living room, which was specifically designed to accommodate a row of stockings at Christmas time but looks resplendent year-round.

The results are captivating – the house of not only Jessica Alba’s dreams but also several of us here in the HB office. Thoughtful spaces in which to live, dine and entertain; rooms decorated with interesting wallpapers, welcoming rugs and personal, eclectic touches. Inviting armchairs in the living room; sexy, large-format marbled walls in the master suite’s superbly steel-framed wet area.
