This ensuite bathroom is a study in space-saving design. A sliding mirror above the vanity is the room’s standout feature – when not in use, it retracts into a wall cavity to let sunlight stream in from the original window.

Simple colours and designs are ideal in a confined space, where too much contrast or detail can have an overwhelming effect. Stone-replica tiles, produced as a result of new digital printing methods, offer an organic and calming look for a fraction of the price of the real deal. Above-counter basins echo the shape of the bath to create cohesion in the small space.
