A vanity affair
With a few simple modifications, your vanity can become the hardest working hub in your bathroom. In addition to hosting your basin and tapware, add an open shelf below for towel or toiletry storage, a rail for your hand towels and – if in close proximity to the loo – one side can hold the toilet roll holder, too!

Install a three-door mirrored cabinet above your basin and you will boost your bathroom storage capabilities in an instant. Behind closed doors
Away from the wet zones of your bathroom, consider installing a large cupboard with doors to host stacks of supplies. If you’re starting your renovation from scratch, you can recess the cupboard into the wall cavity, if available, to make use of otherwise lost space. Also take note of the hooks, rails and basket storage – all handy and so decorative, too!

Shuffle a freestanding cabinet into your bathroom space and you’ve just created the ideal spot to stow towels and bathroom supplies. Paint it – inside and out – to suit your bathroom design scheme, then add baskets and caddies to keep all your goodies in neat order.
Nice niche
If you’d rather avoid hanging a shower caddy, and you’re starting your bathroom tiling job from scratch, make arrangements with your builder to include neat wall niches in your shower. You’ll love them! They’re easy to clean, neat to look at and ideal for storing the shampoo, conditioner, body soap and so on.
