Whether you have a small kitchen or a larger space, how to use colour to decorate it can be a daunting prospect.
Introducing colour successfully in your kitchen can work well when used as part of a cohesive decorating scheme – plan to make the combination of all your kitchen finishes working together as a whole.
1. Black is timeless and elegant – go bold and commit to all-black cabinetry and punctuate with metallic and glass surfaces, stools and lighting.
2. If you still love white but want to tone it down, timber adds warmth and a welcoming tone to soften hard edges and is a nice neutral counterbalance.
3. A touch of duck egg blue on the island bench becomes the central feature.
4. Retro hues of red and citrus sing against matt black and timber screening.
5. With white cabinetry overhead to give the illusion of space, an elegant navy blue anchors the space and works with the timber flooring for interest and texture.
6. Whilst remaining neutral with taupe and timber, this feature wall of cabinetry in apple green doesn’t dominate.
7. Moody charcoal cabinetry lends sophistication and warm grey walls tie in tonally. Black lighting and accessories keep things simple and allow the patterned tile splashback to take centre stage.
