Your table decorations set the scene for the occasion so stamp your Easter brunch, lunch or dinner with your own style. Forget the bunnies and baby chicks this year. We’ve got six stylish and fabulous décor ideas for a beautiful Easter that will make your Easter table stand out from the crowd.

1. Incorporate flower arrangements

No matter how small, your Easter decorations must include blooms. “The Easter season is all about florals!” says Spotlight’s Creative Expert, Laura Morriss. “Combine fresh or faux flowers in white and purple shades. Be sure to add some greenery into the mix to keep things fresh.”

2. Anchor the scheme with natural accents

Before you place your floral centrepiece or Easter table decorations, place a long wooden board along the centre or layer the table with a ready-made burlap roll. “This creates a base for the setting and a natural Easter look,” says Laura.

3. Keep it simple

Rather than complicate things with a whole new menu, why not modify a tried and tested recipe with an Easter twist. This recipe can easily be adapted for little Easter cakes. Simply omit the icing, dust with icing sugar and fill the centre with eggs.

“It’s all about pastel colours, natural accents and sweet floral arrangements.”

Laura Morriss, Spotlight Creative Expert

4. Look to nature

What is Easter without eggs? Sit a group of speckled eggs on a nest of wood wool or wheatgrass for an Easter centrepiece with a natural, textured effect. “Simply paint foam or cardboard eggs a range of pastel colours and scatter them throughout the table,” Laura suggests. “To enhance their presence, place them together in a clear vase or inside egg cups!”

5. Treat bags

For a stylish twist on an Easter basket, give the Easter Bunny a stylish run for his money and continue the burlap theme with a handmade pocket at each place setting on the table. Tie place cards to each one with a pastel ribbon. “Not only do these add a little something to the table setting, they can also be used in the classic Easter egg hunt and guests can store their Easter eggs inside them!” Laura suggests.
