Method

1 Start with fabulous herringbone parquetry flooring, try floorwood.com.au in a space with plenty of natural light to allow plants to thrive.

2 Anchor the display with sturdy timber table or sideboard.

3 Arrange and hang a collection of framed botanical prints and illustrations to create layers of interest and echo the colour and detail of plants.

4 Assemble decorative woven baskets in coordinating tones with terracotta pots in all shapes and sizes to hold plants, high and low to create a living, growing, ever-evolving display.

5 Add thoughtful details with picture books and quirky vintage pieces.
