If you’re on the hunt for a range of stylish eco-accessories for your home, this designer might just have the answer you (and the planet!) are looking for.

“I wanted to make a difference,” says designer and Yesēco founder Jamie Phillips. “I wanted to be part of the solution rather than just talking about what was wrong with the world.”

He started in the kitchen when looking to creating a solution to the plastic epidemic we all face – with more being produced in the last 10 years than in the entire last century and less than 5% of that plastic being recycled.

“I realised consumers aren’t the problem; it was the lack of alternatives in the market.”

“The idea for Yesēco came from my own frustration of seeing my kitchen bench covered with unnecessary plastic items that would taint the environment forever. I wanted to start solving small problems on a big scale,” Phillips in launching the first installment of eco-friendly kitchen tools that strive to reduce unnecessary plastic waste in the home, and actually look beautiful on your kitchen bench.

The “Essentials Kit” retails at a mere $60 and includes:

1 x Bamboo Bench Organiser

2 x Bamboo & Sisal Fibre Dish Brushes

1 x Broomcorn Scouring Brush

4 x Woodpulp Expanding Sponges

1 x Hemp & Organic Cotton Tea Towel

It’s not as hard as you might think – eco-friendly alternatives to plastic are often more affordable in the long run and with stylish replacements like this, it certainly makes it easier to embrace change.
