There are a total of 416 guestrooms and suites, 52 of which are in the heritage part of the building, while the others are located in the modern high-rise addition behind.
The rooms have been updated with little luxuries and extras including Bluetooth speakers, Nespresso machines, luxury bathroom amenities and TWG teas. There's also a pillow menu and tablets which offer a digital concierge service.
The Place is located on Level One and is casual yet stylish, with a wide range of Asian-inspired dishes on offer, including chicken curry, laksa and satay, as well as modern Australian options including pan-fried red emperor and braised wagyu short rib.
At the Bar on the ground floor, you can enjoy a wonderful afternoon tea of sweet and savoury treats and freshly baked scones, served with tea, coffee, champagne or a Sydney Sling Cocktail - an Antipodean twist on the famous Singapore Sling.
What to do
A must-do while staying at The Fullerton is the complimentary heritage tour, which provides a fascinating insight into the rich history of the building. Tour participants can take a trip down memory lane with an experienced guide, who will take them on a journey to explore the building’s architecture and former life as the Sydney GPO. Exclusive tours are offered for hotel guests on Fridays and Saturdays at 10am, while members of the public can join the tours on Fridays and Saturdays at 11:45am.
Other facilities include a Club Lounge and fitness center, or indulge in a facial or massage at Endota Spa. And of course the best of Sydney's sites are at your doorstep, including the Queen Victoria Building, Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and Art Gallery of NSW.
