Top tips for using pots in your garden
- Pots create curves and soften hard landscaping by bringing plants right into the entertaining area. Select pots in a similar colour or material and group in odd numbers and varying sizes for a contemporary display.
- Big hanging pots can be ideal, especially if massed with assorted trailing succulents. "They free up valuable floor space, allowing more room for dining and lounging," says Richard. "Similarly, narrow, tall troughs with a small footprint work well as they extend up, rather than out, and elevate greenery at eye level where you can enjoy it most."
