Lovers of Gucci will be enamoured by the news that the luxury house has launched its Décor collection – and we can buy it in Australia!
The new range encapsulates Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele’s philosophy that you should choose pieces to personalise your own home in the same way you customize your clothes and accessories.
Memorable motifs from Michele’s catwalk adorn pieces from the new range: tigers roar from chairs; snakes curl around vibrant metal trays; and porcelain moths delicately perch on crockery pots and lids. Unexpected colours and textures abound on every surface.
A forlorn kitten peers out from a sumptuous cushion emblazoned with the statement, ‘Blind for Love’.
Fashion followers will recognize the vivid designs on the decorative new folding screens, with patterns on both sides of the panels including a garden print, pineapple print and geometrics.
The playful approach extends to a range of vanity and dining chairs, lacquered and upholstered with designs featuring a cat, Staffordshire ceramic dog, moth, bee and tiger.
For those who love a statement wall, there will be a range of unconventional silk, vinyl and paper wallpapers. A postcard design from the pre-fall 2017 collection sits alongside a floral pattern, and the premium wallpapers feature Michele’s take on the famous Gucci Flora design.
Smaller pieces from the collection include scented-candle holders in the signature House patterns.
