Instagram is where we all find so much inspiration and, even with so many changes to our social media platforms over time it’s great to get such direct feedback from you, our audience and know what inspires you most from the collection of beautiful images we share.
Here are the top ten Instagram posts on Home Beautiful’s feed this year – as voted by you!
1. Cabana oasis
The ultimate outdoor room, who doesn’t love a cabana by the pool? This wonderful example was a clear winner this year – our most popular post!
2. Minimal bathroom
Runner-up was this sleek inner city bathroom – a lesson in clever use of space for storage and streamlined style.
3. House Rules haven
They may have been the first team to exit the House Rules renovation series on Channel 7 in 2018, but Leigh and Kristie’s ‘California Cool’ kitchen, created by Jess and Jared was a winner in your eyes!
4. Puppies and patios
We can’t decide which we love more – the puppy or the stunning floor tiles in this stunning verandah. Either way, it looks like the perfect place to perch in summer.
5. Dark cabinetry dream
The trend for boldly-painted overhead cabinets continues to inspire and this monochrome kitchen is a great example – tying in charcoal tones in timber flooring and bar stools beautifully.
6. Bathroom brilliance
This space ticks all the boxes for us on what is trending in bathrooms this year: unexpected colour in feature tiles, wall niche, integrated twin basins and a freestanding stone bathtub and matt black tapware all come together to get it just right.
7. Kitchen crush
More superbly painted cabinetry but this large space, with its soaring white ceiling, carries it off beautifully both above and below the crisp stone benchtops. A bank of white cupboards allows dark-grouted subway tiles to shine.
8. Wallpaper wonder
This gorgeous laundry flies in the face of the idea that divine decor is wasted in such a hardworking space. Elegant black cabinetry and a timber benchtop are inspired choices.
9. Moroccan magic
HB stylist Rachel Peters travelled to the other side of the world to get us this captivating location shot and we all agree that her style odyssey was well worth it!
10. A long list of likes
So much to love about this sublime kitchen! Large format marble tumbles over the waterfall island bench and holds court above the cooktop. Parquetry flooring is at once timeless and bang on trend, whilst the hint of a butler’s pantry at the end of the galley is enough to make us all swoon!
