Courtyard
Bench seats designed by Oliver Interiors are topped with Country Road ‘Osma’ striped cushions. A custom-made mirror from Cote Maison adds a point of interest. Climbing jasmine delivers a pop of greenery, while a bike from Terrace is handy for local shopping trips.

Living room
This homeowners city terrace epitomises elegant small space living. Here, a sofa and ottoman from Oliver Interiors, covered in plush Zepel ‘Opus’ velvet in Licorice and Zinc, lend a Parisian feel, while two Town & Country Style ‘Bordeaux’ armchairs, customised by interior designer Bree Oliver in Designers Guild ‘Franchini Noir’ silk, add personality with pattern.

Hallway
Jonathon Lee of The Hangman created the staircase photo wall. Homeowners gave him 20 pictures and frames from Country Road, Target and Kmart.

Kitchen
Gleaming Kartell ‘GE’ suspension lights and clear Kartell ‘Charles Ghost’ stools, all from Space, provide a chic contemporary touch to the traditional provincial-style kitchen. Similar materials were used throughout to create a continuous flow, so in the kitchen and bathroom, you’ll see Carrara marble and tongue-and-groove panelling.

Butler’s sink
The butler’s sink was bought in a Chippendale Restorations sale. While most of the home’s interior is painted in Dulux Vivid White, the kitchen walls are in Dulux Beige Royal Half to add contrast.

Bathroom
White subway tiles from Aeria Country Floors were chosen to tie in with the terrace’s Victorian origins. Three Perrin & Rowe soap dispensers from The English Tapware Company installed to give the bathroom hotel-style appeal.

Master bedroom
A Ralph Lauren bedspread and a Christian Lacroix ‘Forum Sevres’ cushion from Radford Furnishings continue the black-and-white scheme, while a bedhead from Asset Furniture ups the comfort factor.

Study
A built-in study area in the kitchen butts on to the courtyard, making perfect sense for this busy family. White push-open joinery hides cords, while the marble desktop visually connects the nook to the kitchen.
