A clever mum from the Gold Coast has come up with a genius $200 Ikea dresser hack.
Kylie Hughes has come up with a simple hack turns a simple dresser into a glorious luxury furniture piece using Stylkea stick-on fretwork panels. The best part of it all is that it’s just under $10!
As for how she came up with the idea, Hughes said: ‘I was spending literally hours and hours looking through magazines and design sites, trying to figure out how to get the same look on a budget’
‘I didn’t want my home looking like a clone of the Ikea catalogue. That’s [where the idea came from] for peel-and-stick panels, so the Ikea-ness disappears’ she further added.
Describing the furniture she says, “The panels are customised to perfectly fit, you literally just peel and stick them on, you don’t need any tools, and they come in a variety of different materials.”
