This hybrid coffee will supercharge your health kick

Coffee meets kombucha

When it comes to superfoods and energy drinks, coffee and kombucha aren’t the first two things to spring to mind. Neither are they the first two drinks anyone would think to combine into one delicious bottle, but that’s exactly what award-winning coffee roaster Frank Andrews did.

The owner of Sydney’s Darlinghurst café, Frankie’s Beans, Frank Andrews has now developed a drink called Komboffee, a unique blend of cold brew coffee and organic kombucha, with the help of his friend, Alex.

Alex is a kombucha maker, and Frank tells Body and Soul that one day the pair had the idea to combine coffee and kombucha together. After many months of development, they now have an exceptional product ready to sell to the masses.

The beverage is now bottled and sold at Frankie’s Beans for $6, as well as in some cafes across Australia. The product is a refreshing drink that slowly releases caffeine into your system and minimizes the after-caffeine crash, with the added antioxidant benefits of kombucha.

According to online reports, the drink is a little bitter and a little tangy, yet refreshing, and tastes a little like iced tea with a bite of coffee.
