Sales of the book will help raise funds to support the struggling farmers of Australia.

In creating Farmer cookbook, publisher, author and food stylist Jody Vassallo has brought together some of Australia’s most talented recipe writers, photographers, stylists, designers and editors.
This recipe is just a taste of what you can look forward to:
Ingredients
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon maple syrup
4 slices good-quality sourdough bread
2 ripe avocados, thinly sliced
60g crumbled fetta dukkah, to serve
Method

Combine the balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Set aside.

Toast or grill the bread until golden. Place a sliced avocado half on top of each bread slice and roughly smash.

Season the tomato with salt and pepper and gently toss. Place on the avocado.

Top with the crumbled fetta, dukkah and a drizzle of the maple–balsamic to take your avo smash to the next level.
