Wonderful walls

Buttons and birdhouses are recurring motifs in the bedroom. The ‘Button’ wallpaper can be purchased directly from Dutch label Studio Ditte.

The ‘Leander’ cot is complemented by Birdhouse patchwork quilt, which was pieced together using the ‘Birdhouse’ quilt from Studio Ditte, finished off with colourful buttons. Cushions were made from the fabric remnants.

Whimsical details abound throughout the room, including a decorative birdhouse and the ‘It’s Beautiful Here’ sign from Tractor Home. A pompom garland and cute baby clothes create a pretty display.

The room’s theme extends to the change table, with birds, buttons and birdhouses all making an appearance. The  ‘Circling Swallows’ clock from Anthropologie presides over a decorative shelf.

Upwardly mobile

The nursery is a clever mix of designer pieces, such as the birdcage mobile by Tamar Mogendorff, and bargain buys like the Ikea window dressings.
