The Ikea Removable Art Gallery event has been brought to life to celebrate the furniture company’s vision of making art affordable. Inspired by hand drawing as an art form, the exhibition consists of 12 one-of-a-kind carefully curated pieces from a range of established and up-and-coming artists from around the world. The eclectic collection showcases a range of techniques such as graphite, pen and ink, crayon, charcoal, watercolour, gouache and pastel.

As IKEA explained, the pieces are designed to allow Australians to have more artwork in their home without worrying about the price tag. In fact, if you love a piece, you are invited to take it from the walls and straight home with you (for free).

The exhibition will be open to the public for one day only. Don’t worry though, the artworks will be in store from 19th June and cost $15 each.
