  1. Exposed lighting

Industrial style globes with filament showing are hiding under cleverly designed powder coated shades

  1. Granite countertops

The subtle swirls of marble and the pastel tones of terrazzo have taken over

  1. Bamboo flooring

Hardwearing, artisan parquetry is taking its place

  1. Reclaimed wood

Rather than heavy and rustic, lighter less textured timbers are making a splash

  1. Bohemian tapestries

The layered look and many textures of Boho have moved over for stronger colours and global patterns

  1. DIY organizing products and projects

With smaller houses and our ever-growing cities, keeping a clutter free home is key

  1. Pattern on pattern

Whether its monochrome or Mediterranean, large areas of pattern is a key look going into 2018

  1. Wallpaper

The wallpaper trend continues to wow us with a pattern to please even the most hesitant convert

  1. High gloss lacquer on walls

Colour is back and we’re not afraid to use it! A gloss finish is just one of the many textures we’re seeing a return of on our walls

  1. Minimalism

With colour and pattern directing our interior styling, accessories and artworks are being kept to a minimum and smooth surfaces carry the eye around a room

  1. Instagram-ready décor

Whether art imitates life or vice versa, the Instagram community is styling it up to snap and share

  1. Strong accent rugs

Making an impact in an otherwise minimal interior, a statement rug packs a colourful punch.
