Inside the gorgeous Scandi haven of one of our favourite retailers

The norsuHOME is a stunning transformation true to its name and nature.

The norsuHOME has been fully renovated this year by the founders of iconic Scandi retailer norsu Nat Wheeler and Kristy Sadlier, transforming Nat’s “renovator’s delight” of a 1920’s Californian bungalow into a stunning Nordic-inspired family home.

Over five months the home has been transformed to embrace the distinctive norsu aesthetic with a superior look and feel. With an endeavour to keep costs at an accessible, affordable level, the home includes a flatpack kitchen and wardrobes with finishes chosen to be in keeping with the overall look and feel.

A seasoned renovator, Nat first set out to affect a quick “cosmetic renovation” but soon saw the potential for a complete overhaul, taking the plunge with bigger changes to create an open plan home filled with  light and space.

“After the reno was complete, our day jobs kicked into gear and we had some serious fun with the styling,” says Kristy.

“We live and breathe interiors, and truly believe you can create something magical by carefully selecting the right furniture, art and soft furnishing for your home.”

“For us, it’s all about the feeling you get when you walk in that front door,” Kristy says. “By focusing on the right pieces, tones, placement and layering you have the ability to create cosiness, joy and warmth which allows guests to instantly connect emotionally with the space.”

There are some wonderful ideas here and plenty of style to steal. If your confidence is lacking, however, this project has served as a springboard to launch Norsu’s new styling service, led by in-house interior designer Lauren Bartlett-Bragg.
