These furniture items are hiding the latest home gadgets

We were pleasantly surprised at some of the innovations at CES2018 this year and, whilst many products are still at prototype stage, the tech gurus are certainly heading in the right direction to get us to adopt technology to help make our lives at home run more smoothly.

The best part is that the design of some of the technology is as advanced and inspired as the tech itself – the phonographs of yesteryear have travelled light-speed into the 21^st century and we’re on board!

There are already products on the market than can ease you into the age of technology with calming music and compatibility with your already-familiar devices.

Here’s a taste of what we can expect:

Don’t be fooled by the design inspired by the 1960s, this technology is bang up to date.

Still in prototype but oh-so worth looking forward to, rather than a massive freestanding machine, the Laundroid will blend seamlessly into your cabinetry. More than that however, it will not only fold your laundry but use artificial intelligence to sort it onto separate shelves for each member of the family. If that’s not enough, it comes with an app to keep help organize your clothing and even suggest a cordinating outfit for you!

At this stage Launrdoid has an estimate cost of around $21,000 when it goes to market.

3. Kohler Konnect smart bathroom

Hidden technology comes to the bathroom via Kohler who’s Konnect voice-enabled technology allows you to operate your bathtub, toilet, mirror and tapware without lifting a finger.

“Turn lights to makeup mode,” is all you need to say to achieve a pre-set lighting level that’s just right for Friday night. Command your kitchen tap to dispense a measured amount of water, hands-free. Flush with no fuss with a sensor that doubles as a night light on the loo.
