This florist has a special way with flowers

Unstructured and rambling, perhaps... ethereal and delicate, certainly
Brigid Arnott

Cara Fitch of Trille named her business after the provincial flower of Ontario – her Canadian homeland – after her floral journey brought her to the southern hemisphere. She shares the secrets of her blossoming world in Sydney with us here.

“I find collecting images helps give me a clearer direction for where I want to take the florals,” says Cara. “It’s also a great tool to communicate with clients and manage expectations. I try to include non-flower-related images such as textures, light and movement, to show the overall feel.”

“Before every photo shoot, wedding or event, I always create a mood board. It’s one of my most favourite parts of my job.”

“Choosing the right vessel is essential. With the style of arranging that I do, low bowls or footed bowls work really well to support my unstructured and rambling designs.”
