This is where Prince Harry & Meghan Markle will shop for homewares

Of course, we know Meghan Markle has excellent taste, given the interior decoration of her stylish home in Toronto, before she moved to the UK to be with Harry.

It’s with high hopes then that we anticipate the decoration of the Nottingham Cottage home they will share together after they’re married.

It’s likely they’ll turn to the The Royal Warrant Holders Association – a group of  companies appointed as preferred suppliers to the Royal Family.

The association was formed in 1840 and its membership list runs to between 800-900 companies or individuals. Filled with traditional makers, conservationists, saddlemakers and gardening services, there are also many of our own favourites to choose from for furnishings, fabrics and interior design – and they’re not all stuck in the 15th century.

Here’s where we’d shop first:

1. Sanderson

A fantastic place to start, Meghan and Harry will find everything they need to decorate their home right here. This traditional soft furnishing brand dates back to 1860’s London, importing luxury French wallpapers. Sanderson later produced their own and added textile printing to the business. Now in collaboration with Zoffany they also offer a comprehensive range of paints too and more homewares than a pair of newlywed royals could dream of, from stunning rugs, cushions and teatowels to tableware and lighting.

2. Axminster Carpets

It doesn’t get much more traditional than Axminster Carpets. Proudly displaying the Royal Coat of Arms on their website, they may still supply traditional carpets to the Royal Household but their range is bang up to date with on trend, quality carpets.

3. Cole and Son Wallpapers

Swoon! Yes to everything Cole & Son produce and we’re sure Meghan Markle would approve too. From toile to tropicana, modern to graphic, art deco and traditional designs – high end wallpapers in the latest trends, straight from the interiors world stage. Don’t even get us started on their back catalogue…

4. Zone Creations

This one might surprise you as a supplier to Her Majesty The Queen, Zone Creations are literally cutting edge in their supply of furniture, including specialising in contemporary pieces crafted from acrylic and resin. We think tea with Her Majesty at this coffee table might be just the thing!

5. Royal Doulton

No surprises here but heirloom tableware never looked so good. Neither did cocktails – lots of entertaining to be done in the lead up to the royal wedding and Royal Doulton has tons for the royal couple choose from, covering all their needs in tableware, cookware and everything in between. We suppose the sky is the limit!

Whilst they’re there, Prince Harry and Meghan might also like to partake of a few services listed under providers for “Pursuits & Pastimes” – hunting, fishing, riding… as you do.
