Whoopi Goldberg lists her Hollywood estate for USD8.75M
Oscar-, Emmy-, Tony- and Grammy-winning actress and TV talk show host Whoopi Goldberg is reportedly “cutting her West Coast real estate ties” and selling her Pacific Palisades home.
Not long on the market, the home seems to have already been snapped up within a number of days and is currently under contract, despite its asking price of USD8.75million (AUD11.044).
The home backs on to state parklands and is built in the Art Moderne style. It sits in the affluent suburb of Pacific Palisades, along the legendary Amalfi Rim in the Santa Monica Hills and is a stunning example of the style which dates from 1930s to 1940s - retaining many original architectural features inside and out.
Private landscaped gardens surround a stone-terraced pool area and lend 'old Hollywood' style to the property, along with the curved facade, 6 bedrooms and 6 ½ bathrooms. Full marble fireplaces are featured in downstairs reception rooms, original ceiling mouldings remain throughout and a stunning original checkerboard marble tiled floor covers the entrance foyer.
