Why your winter living room décor looks boring

It may be tempting to play it safe by sticking to neutral tones and plain colours in the living room during winter, but beware the risk of things looking a little drab if you do so. When adding a warming layer of irresistible textures, using some colour in the mix will give an essential energising lift to the room- and your mood.

Adding pops of colour can work to a calmer palette than you’d use during summer – soft, dusty duck egg blues – a tone close to the HB heart – punctuated with metallic touches and timber details will allow you to tie in with the natural textures and finishes we love.

“Chunky, tactile and touch me pieces are a welcome addition to any interior scheme.”
