A range of colours and textures were used when designing this fun space. Top tip: When using a range of materials in one space, choose colours in a similar tone that complement each other for a cohesive look.
Freestanding bath
The rock maple timber vanity and matching panel, behind the modern freestanding bath, introduce a natural element that is continued with large stone floor tiles in toning, golden-brown hues. The stylish panel is also a neat way to screen away the plumbing. A feature wall of glass mosaics offers a shimmering contrast in both colour and texture, delivering a glamorous ‘wow’ factor ideal for a pamper zone. The wall is partly recessed, ensuring that the wall-mounted heated towel ladder doesn’t intrude into the floor space.
Little touches
Coastal accessories add to the overall feel of the room and further enhance the laid-back, cool and fun feel of this bathroom. They also add a pop of colour against the timber.
Inject personality
There was a time when a bedroom wasn’t complete without a dressing table. Accommodating one in a bathroom can be the modern equivalent, as shown in this spacious ensuite, where the stylish vanity unit doubles as a place to sit in comfort and prepare for the day ahead. Its simple, tailored lines and handle-free drawers deliver a less-is-more, furniture-like feel.
