Founder Vanessa Holden – executive design director at New York-based agency Sub Rosa – was inspired to create and host the project with the intent to mobilise creatives and ignite innovative, collaborative work.

Now in its second year, Soul Safari Sydney brings together over 20 speakers, featuring artists such as Elliot Routledge, Liane Rossler, Dinosaur Designs co-founder Louise Olsen and broadcaster and founder of The Edible Balcony, Indira Naidoo. Attendees also get the chance to collaborate on a massive on-site art installation.

For their first venture into Melbourne, Soul Safari will feature designer and cult icon Rae Ganim while director of The Jacky Winter Group, Jeremy Worstman and stylist and creative director of Slow Maker, Tamara Maynes who will lead an on-site craft collaboration.
