Covered deck
This inviting corner of the verandah overlooks the deck and pool. The outdoor setting, which came with the house, has been re-covered in Warwick ‘Chai’ fabric in Taupe, and the distinctive Coca Mojo pineapple cushion is from Eclectic Style.
Peaceful pool
On sunny days, the 16-metre saltwater pool at the rear of the house is the focal point of the family’s fun.
Living room
A quick way to give any home a facelift is with layers of cushions and throws. Here, cushions include Pony Rider’s ‘Born Free’, ‘Sepia’ velvet cushions from Tahn Scoon Interiors and a fringed ‘Spotted Begonia Black’ cushion by Bonnie And Neil, as well as two Coca Mojo ‘Charcoal Hibiscus’ cushions and a Coca & Violet ‘Charcoal Ikat’ cushion.
Living room
A pretty Blacklist Studio ‘Be Kind’ print adds interest.
Art
The statement piece of a woman with a newspaper print background was found on travels in Asia.
Dining zone
‘The Drifter’ log stools by Byron Bay designers Hendrix & Harlow deliver a casual note around the dining table.
Kitchen
To create contrast with white cupboards that have mesh panels and a stainless-steel benchtop and accessories, black subway tiles were added behind the stove. Other additions were a stunning pendant from Living Styles that references the splashback – for similar, try their ‘Kota’ style – and a runner from Fly Me 2 The Moon.
Kitchen
Herbs make a decorative and useful display in the kitchen.
Bedroom
The home’s panelled timber walls add to the coastal feel while built-in shelving provides storage and doubles as a bedside table. A ‘Come Wander’ cushion from Pony Rider, a palm trees cushion from Ahoy Trader and a Luna Gallery multi-ply cotton blanket add to the appeal. To up the gypsy feel, a Bamileke feather juju hat from Table Tonic was added, a cross from Ahoy Trader and beads from Hope & May. The ‘Love #5’ print is from Blacklist Studio while, for a more modern version of this rattan bench seat, try HK Living.
Bathroom
A traditional cast-iron roll-top – Prodigg has a range of similar styles – is the focus of the bathroom. Pebbled tiles add to the indoor-outdoor vibe, while the tray is from Hope & May.
Bathroom
Another aspect of the bathroom features an above-counter vanity – for similar, try the Axa ‘Hox’ from Reece. In the mirror reflection are a pair of ‘Coco’ chairs from Byron Bay Hanging Chairs.
