If you hated Pantone’s colour of the year Marsala, you’ll love it with this new pink

It’s finally time to make it work in your home

If you jumped on the band wagon a few years ago with Marsala and are still struggling to make it work, it’s finally coming into its own now, playing moody foil to the warm pink tones trending off the back of the Millennial Pink and rose gold obsessions.

The colour itself has, shall we say, ‘dirty undertones’, that help it pair beautifully with the browns of timbers and textures of natural stone, as well as a touch of metallics in golds and brass.

We love Marsala with the current washed out warm pinks, a move on from the crisper Millennial Pink, to create a warmer, more welcoming interior scheme.

Here’s inspiration from the pages of Pinterest:

Rather than large swathes of the dark, moody red, it works well as an accent to punctuate a palette driven by softer warm tones and natural textures.

Or Marsala steals the whole show with wine-drenched walls.
