Flower power
With its established trees and many pockets of lovely plantings, this lovely Queensland garden offers visitors a sensory adventure. Masses of lavender envelop the outdoor entertaining area, bringing beautiful fragrance.
Secret garden
A secret garden, to the left of the driveway, entices with a series of maze-like paths. An abundance of foliage such as magnolia, cloud trees, hedges of Japanese box and cascade lilly pilly are layered in a lush patchwork of texture and tone.
Open garden
Sun-bleached timber posts paired with weathered iron gates are in keeping with the garden’s country feel.
Wisteria arbour
To make the most of the stunning vistas, paths around the house were extended beneath an arbour of wisteria, and a new outdoor living area was built. Planted just three years ago, the cascading wisteria has grown to create a soft mauve canopy running the length of the house.
Rose garden
A formal rose garden is part of the space. The multi-stem form of this dusty pink Paul Bocuse makes it wonderful for picking and displaying in a vase.
Beautiful borders
Meandering paths lined with box and with fragrant jasmine spilling onto the surfaces wander through the garden.
Rose garden
Hedges and urns create structure and symmetry amongst the billowy blooms in the rose garden.
Cultivated style
Beautiful sculpted cloud trees (Cupressocyparis leylandii) make a striking focal point among the maze-like beds in the secret garden.
Trees and terracotta
Below towering tropical birch trees stand a pair of terracotta warriors, nestled among a sea of shore juniper.
