A classical 16th-century building, the 26 rooms and suite apartments marry contemporary and romantic design, highlighted by unique furnishings, glassworks from French artist Aristide Najean, and sophisticated collector’s items.

According to Design Hotels™, Starck has taken “16th century Venetian design to the 21st century,” with large mirrors “made ornate with back lighting and bathrooms clad in travertine marble and colorful mosaics”.

Starck’s signature quirkiness is also at play, with black silhouette masks adorning cushions and lamps – a nod to the Venetian leit motif – while Fornasetti armchairs sit side-by-side Kartell’s gnome stool.
