Here is a little DIY project that’s bound to spice up your herb garden.

Steps:
1. Wash used tin cans thoroughly in warm water to remove the labels.
2. File down any sharp edges with a metal file and drill three drainage holes in the base of each tin.
3. Raid your stash of fabric or wallpaper scraps and cut to fit around each tin. Use decoupage glue, double-sided tape or spray adhesive to cover each tin with material.

4. Pot whatever herbs take your fancy (we used lemon thyme, oregano, rosemary, mint and basil) into each tin and display in a spot that receives plenty of direct sunlight.
