YO2’s exclusive range of cast iron sculpture planters are not just a pretty face, oversized hand or saber tooth tiger. The designers, famous for working with some of the world’s most luxurious and leading brands, from Relais & Chateaux to Google, blend function, flair and a whole load more.
Cypriot designers YO2 design and cast the iron planters in an innovative and contemporary style, with a decidedly baroque and cheerful spirit. Under the direction of Pericles Liatsos, the YO2 brand was created in 2011 by a team of passionate designers.
Weather or not?
The planters are inspired by classical statues and animal forms in geometric shapes, with smooth-to-touch surfaces and the best bit, they’re easy to wipe over and clean.
Built for rain, hail, shine, and certainly fit for an art gallery, the large-scale planters’ materials and coatings provide a sturdy and durable product that can endure exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Anti art-critic
And while you might be reluctant to leave such a beautiful artwork in your garden, the planters are have anti-vandalism and anti-theft properties. TIP: Might be worth positioning your security camera at the planter just to laugh at would-be vandals trying to break this metal sculpture. The planters are also fire-resistant and waterproof.
Heavy metals
Metal is a fantastic material for art, building structures, tools and more. The material has strength, durability, longevity and performance. “Throughout history, iron has been used – it can last hundred years if properly cared for, keeping its uniqueness and the upscale artisan feel,” explain the YO2 Design team.
