Die-hard fans of Harry Potter can now stay in the house that was used to represent Harry’s childhood home, Godric’s Hollow, in several of the movies.
The quaint 14th-century cottage, named De Vere House is available for rent on Airbnb, and is located in the medieval village of Lavenham in the UK.
According to the website De Vere House is a “highly acclaimed former Five Star and Gold Award bed and breakfast accommodation is re-opening now with Air B&B and offers stunning facilities.”
Lavenham is one of Britain’s finest medieval villages, with over 300 protected heritage properties. De Vere House is located in the centre of the village and offers a wealth of history as well as comfortable accommodation.
The house features two bedrooms, both with four-poster beds and en suite bathrooms, a private guest sitting room with log fire and courtyard garden. You can also enjoy a full English breakfast in the Dining Room of the main wing of the House.
There’s plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas including a medieval Church, restaurants, loads of craft and antique shops, tea rooms, shops, a spa, museums, an art gallery, tennis courts and four golf courses. The village is also close to the historical and shopping centres of Bury St Edmunds, and the wool towns of West Suffolk, Newmarket races, Colchester and Cambridge.
