In the living room, slouchy sofas are teamed with chic nautical cushions and a farmhouse-style coffee table from French and English. A dash of glamour comes courtesy of a wrought iron chandelier from One World Collection and a stunning Warranbrooke mirror.

A striped armchair draws the eye in the sitting room; mimic the look by upholstering an armchair in ‘Awning Stripe’ fabric from Mokum. The Freedom ottoman doubles as a handy coffee table while a floor mirror lends added sophistication.

Dinnertime is a chic and easy affair  thanks to a wooden dining setting from Town and Country Style. The eye-catching chandelier is from One World Collection, while the ‘Provence’ armchairs were found at Town and Country Style. Plantation shutters from Mirage Interiors complete the pared-back scheme.

Existing dark wooden kitchen cabinetry was given a speedy makeover with a couple of coats of Dulux Whisper White. Subway-style ceramic wall tiles – find similar from Beaumont Tiles – and woven storage baskets add a hint of country charm.

Previously dark and dated, the main bedroom is now dripping with glamour. Textural touches abound, from a faux fur throw to piles of plush velvet and silk cushions. A chandelier adds sparkle overhead – scour antiques stores such as Vintage Glamour for similar dazzling designs.

The spacious bathroom was updated with minimal effort to create a relaxing pamper zone. The bath and pedestal basin were both in good condition and retained, while the wall tiles were painted in Dulux Vivid White for a fresh new look. The room’s original terracotta floor tiles give the room a classic twist. 

Double bunks make good use of space in the children’s room, which was refreshed with wall paint in Dulux Whisper White and new wool carpet in a warming shade of taupe; find a range of soft and luxurious options from Cavalier Bremworth.

The covered back verandah can be used year round. Re-create this look with Bunnings ‘Mimosa Westin’ folding chairs and a ‘Wide Stripe’ tablecloth from Aura By Tracie Ellis.
