Here comes the sun
The marble-lined pool of this Melbourne home sums up its summery and contemporary appeal. “Our emphasis was on creating a home that would be warm in winter and cool in summer,” says the homeowner, who engaged Jasmine McClelland Design to design the interiors. Photography: Shania Shegedyn
Living room
Modern accessories and pieces are a stylish match for the sleek finishes throughout the home, including the concrete used on the floor inside that carries through to the al fresco area.
Dining style
A pair of 80cm ‘Liera’ pendants suspended above an ‘Inspire’ oak dining suite, both from Surround Interiors, were a dramatic touch in the home.
Kitchen
The kitchen soaks up prime views over the pool and features a spectacularly large rangehood, designed by interior designer Jasmine McClelland. The architectural feature incorporates lighting and was custom made by Qasair.
Lounge room
An Oblica ‘ErgoFocus’ suspended fireplace keeps the living room cosy in winter.
Ensuite
Glamour and five-star appeal shine in the stunning ensuite of this beautiful Melbourne home. The statement piece here is a freestanding Apaiser ‘Sentosa’ stone bath in Nimbus. The room is lit by Mondo Luce ‘Coral’ bamboo pendants designed by David Trubridge.
Ensuite detail
Interior designer Jasmine chose a caramel-toned veneer for the cabinetry in the couple’s ensuite.
Bedroom
With earthy wooden tones, nature-inspired wallpaper and a Mondo Luce ‘Snowflake’ bamboo pendant designed by David Trubridge, this sleeping space instantly says “calm retreat”. The honey tones of the timber veneer from the ensuite continue in the star-worthy dressing space alongside the bed, layered in loveliness.
