There are homes that quietly change hands without fanfare, then there are homes that come to market amid heightened interest. Lachie and Jules Neale’s Brisbane residence belongs firmly in the latter category.
Set in the leafy inner-east suburb of Seven Hills, the five-bedroom family home has been listed for sale after what has been a tumultuous and highly publicised period for the couple. Even for those who don’t follow AFL, the headlines have been hard to miss.
Speculation, statements and scrutiny have followed Lachie and Jules as they parted ways earlier this year – and now, the sale of the family home they shared with their two young children marks a tangible turning point.

Purchased in 2022, the house was designed to support family life and at one time they called it their “forever home”. But as circumstances shifted with their separation, so too did its role. The decision to sell reflects not just a change in ownership, but a broader reorientation of two lives now moving in different directions.

For Jules Neale, that direction is west. “All I can do now is try to heal and do what’s best for my children,” she said, after sharing on Instagram that she felt “betrayed in the most unimaginable way”.
She has returned to Western Australia with the couple’s two children, choosing to re-establish herself close to family and long-standing support networks. It’s a return to familiar soil after years spent building a life in Brisbane.

Lachie Neale, meanwhile, remains in Queensland, anchored by professional commitments with the Brisbane Lions. Earlier this year, he stepped down from his role as co-captain, acknowledging the need to focus inward during a period of personal upheaval.
“While I won’t go into specifics I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions, which have hurt those closest to me. For that I am deeply sorry,” he shared during a press conference.

While his future beyond the current AFL season remains open-ended, his immediate path keeps him tied to Brisbane – albeit no longer to the house he once shared with his family.

For prospective buyers, the home will no doubt appeal on its merits alone: a substantial family residence in a coveted suburb, close to the city and the Gabba, with the bones of a long-term sanctuary.

The high-profile pair’s property will go to auction on February 21 and is expected to sell for up to $3 million.
