After purchasing the entire Phillip Island holiday house complex built by the contestants on the 2024 season of The Block, billionare Adrian Portelli has announced that he’s selling the holiday resort. The serial Block bidder, who paid $15.03 million for the entire complex at The Block 2024 auctions in November last year, took to Instagram to share the sale news.
In an Instagram story, Portelli posted an aerial photograph of the complex he described as “The Phillip Island Block Resort” along with the news that he would only sell the houses as a package.
“FOR SALE EOI – The Phillip Island Block Resort selling complex complete. Everything included. Will not sell houses separately,” Portelli wrote on Instagram.

Portelli’s $15.03 million was split across the five Block homes, with $3.5 million spent on the house renovated by sisters and Block 2024 winners, Maddy and Charlotte, $3.3 million on Courtney and Grant’s home, $2.93 million on Kristian and Mimi’s home, $2.7 million on Ricky and Hayden’s and the final $2.6 million on Kylie and Brad’s.

In December, Portelli placed The Block’s Phillip Island complex into a giveaway run by his shopping platform LMCT+, where the winner was offered a choice of all five Phillip Island homes or a cash prize of $8 million. The winner, Ballarat healthcare worker Holly, opted for the cash prize of $8 million, leaving the houses in Portelli’s hands.
However, Portelli has told Domain that he’s “not too fussed either way” about the sale of the The Block compound.
“If someone is keen on the compound and wants it more than I do, they’re more than welcome to take it,” he told the publication. “I’m looking for a quick, easy sale on the lot, otherwise I’m happy to keep them.”
Last year, Portelli shared that the 2024 season of The Block would be his last year of bidding on the show’s homes, and considering that his next Instagram story showed Portelli house hunting in Italy, it looks like he’s officially broadening his property horizens.
