Home
Aaron and Daniella wanted the House Rules teams to create a home away from home, with their rules stipulating a luxury tropical oasis, timber and wallpaper in every zone, Bahamas-inspired living spaces and a five-star master suite.
Dining room
The yellow chair (Matt Blatt) adds a sense of fun and playfulness to the zone. The timber table (also Matt Blatt) is a great fit and the rug, in a warm tone, brings a coastal vibe to the space (Miss Amara).
Hallway
The textural pendant light (Beacon lighting) is a great choice and echoes the colouring of the honey-toned timber flooring (Carpet Court) and wall. The splash of greenery really brings the Bahamas theme into the home while the bench seat is ideal for hiding shoes underneath.
Lounge room
The timber slats are a great design choice, creating a feature wall while also adding warmth. The textured velvet sofa (Matt Blatt) is cosy, inviting and beautifully ties in with the wallpaper (Affordable Decorators).
Kitchen
With an abundance of natural light, the kitchen is a bright and airy zone. The large Caesarstone bench is perfect for tucking chairs under and gives Aaron and Daniella plenty of space. Kitchen fit out by Kitchen Trends and fittings by Highgrove Bathrooms.
Pantry
The brilliant teal-coloured wall adds a sense of depth to the space. Neatly tucked away is the pantry which is as pretty as it is functional. Cupboards (Polytec) and overhead shelving ensure an abundance of storage. The second sink and microwave and grill (SMEG) is a great well-thought out detail.
Master bedroom
The luxurious king-sized bed (Sleeping Duck) fits perfectly in the space while the dark curtains (Curtain Wonderland) add drama to this hotel-inspired suite.
Ensuite
The space feels bigger thanks to the expanse of white tiles (Beaumont tiles) wrapping up the walls. The simplicity of these paired with the theatrical mosaic feature wall (also Beaumont tiles) ensures the space doesn’t feel overly busy. The monochromatic palette and double vanities (Highgrove Bathrooms) beautifully meet the house rules of a luxe zone.
Master bathroom
The resort-style bathroom features warm, muted tones against a backdrop of pebbles (Beaumont Tiles) which gives the space a tropical, beach vibe. The freestanding bath is an elegant fixture. The wall hung vanity adds a sense of depth and space while the timber finish adds warmth.
Playroom
The bold wallpaper (Affordable Decorators) is beautifully balanced by the timber flooring, black wall, and white timber slats. The wall partition is a great idea for Aaron and Daniella’s son Jaxon and shows thought for the room’s occupant.
