This year, the official date of Black Friday is November 28th, 2025. Cyber Monday takes place the following week, on the 1st of December, and most sales will continue up until that point. However, popular items (like Sheet Society’s cotton percale sheets) likely won’t last long.
Cotton is the base material, whereas the term ‘percale’ refers to the type of weave used and how the piece was made (rather than what it’s made of). Cotton and percale aren’t mutually exclusive; in fact, they go hand-in-hand.
Australians love cotton percale sheets for their ability to regulate temperature on warmer nights. Being crisp, cool and airy (and having breathable, moisture-wicking qualities) makes them a perfect bedding option for warmer climates. They also look pretty luxurious, too.
Like linen sheets, percale cotton sheets tend to wrinkle easily. If you like a perfectly smooth bed, this may result in you spending a little extra time ironing and steaming.
Linen and percale are both great choices for summer bedding, and making the right choice for you ultimately comes down to personal preference. Both linen and cotton percale sheets are airy, cooling, and durable, but I find the latter proves more silky and luxurious than linen.
