Oasis of elegance: A beautiful bedroom transformation

Enclosing the verandah on the home delivered enough extra space for a gorgeous new master suite. The aim was to create a Parisian feel. The chic Osborne & Little wallpaper and sumptuous silk curtains add luxe appeal.

The new bedroom is now large enough to include a cosy lounging nook with plush armchairs from French and English and a La Maison ‘Paseo’ mirror.

The ‘Gudri Titanium’ silk quilt and ‘Natural’ linen euro cushions from Bandhini Homeware Design are paired with a peacock-hued bespoke throw by White Furniture. Pretty crystal lamps and ‘Aime Petite’ bedside tables, both from La Maison, complete the elegant picture.

White plantation shutters cleverly screen the bathing area from the bedroom.

The old ensuite was tiny and totally impractical with just one basin. Now, the bathroom is a vision of cool cabinetry and tactile marble. 

Plain mirrors were originally specified to hide the recessed shaving cabinets, but for a more opulent look, it was decided on a more ornate design.
