How do you organise a coffee station at home?

Assuming you’ll be at your coffee station most mornings, you’ll need it to be organised, functional and stylish. You’ll want to avoid digging behind shelves or awkwardly reaching for mugs every morning as much as possible. The way you set up your coffee station will dictate this.

A simple rule to follow is to identify what items are ‘high-reach’, ‘medium-reach’, and ‘low-reach’ and work from there. High-reach items are things you’ll be using every single time you make a cuppa Joe. For example, your favourite coffee mug and a WDT tool would fit in this category easily. You can’t make a cup of coffee without a mug. Medium-reach items could be sugar or syrups (unless you must have sugar with your coffees), especially if you only occasionally indulge in a flavoured coffee. Low-reach items include extra coffee beans, filters, or cleaning equipment.

Once you’ve identified every single item in your set-up as high, medium, or low reach, you can organise accordingly. Place high-reach items closer to you (with no obstacles, if you can help), and low-reach items can be tucked away as you won’t need them daily. It’s pretty self-explanatory, but you’ll be surprised by the difference this will make.
