Living room
The inviting living space has a fireplace at its heart, topped by a new mantel created using corbels from Schots Home Emporium and timber stained to match the floors. The hardwood floors and doors were kept in their original roughed-up state, while the walls were given a refresh in Dulux Antique White USA.
Kitchen
The original wood stove is the only remnant of the old kitchen, which has been given a complete update with cabinets from Ikea and a new paint job in Dulux Antique White USA. An island bench, also from Ikea, teamed with bar stools from Provincial Home Living, acts as a central gathering place for guests.
Bathroom
Dulux Super Enamel in Antique White USA was used to paint the bathroom floor, giving it a light and bright feel. The cast-iron bath, found on Ebay, was refinished and the outside painted in Dulux Light Rice. A sparkling pendant adds a hint of glamour.
Bedroom
The bedhead was created from simple chipboard covered with foam and fabric from Spotlight, while the bed itself was dressed with bedlinen from Target. Mixing old with new, the lamp base was found at a market and teamed with a shade from Ikea.
Studio
The dramatic black and white scheme in the studio has a completely different vibe to the rest of the home. A daybed adds comfort, with a piece of carpet from a wholesaler creating an affordable rug.
Studio
Timber panelling forms a rustic backdrop. An old cabinet and desk – a Salvos find – were both painted in black enamel and refreshed with new handles found at Schots Home Emporium.
