Open-plan living & dining area
The new extension, with glass reaching up to the high-pitched ceiling, has transformed the once-dingy living area – perfect for entertaining. The huge dining table was commissioned from timber that had been reclaimed from demolished houses on the NSW South Coast. The clamshell is one of a pair and holds blooms from Armchair Collective, though often serves as a fruit bowl.
Kitchen
Blum ‘Blumotion’ soft closing systems mean minimal clatter from doors and drawers. One indulgence is the mixer tap. Whimsical kitchenware, such as the blue Dinosaur Designs salad servers and container, adds punch to the all-white scheme.
Sunroom
For all its smart style, there are practical touches. Waterproof fabric protects the chairs. An eclectic array of cushions from Alfresco Emporium and Escape To Paradise adds to the setting’s inviting nature. The coffee table used to be a main dining table – the legs have been cut down to give it a new lease of life.
Servery
The servery windows by Scar Top Joinery fully recess, so whoever’s on kitchen duty can still be involved in the party on the deck.
Guest bedroom
Wonderful light has always filled the room, thanks to large front windows and a clever clerestory window, but it is now magnified by white walls and limed floorboards – a treatment carried through the house – with Adairs bedding providing a cheerful contrast.
