From the editor
Over the 10 years I’ve edited this magazine, I’ve been lucky enough to meet many of our fabulous readers, and reading your emails and letters is one of the most satisfying parts of my job.
When we first introduced our annual 50 Beautiful Rooms issue, it was to allow us to celebrate the softer rooms, like living rooms and bedrooms, following the success of our 50 Best Kitchens and Bathrooms specials in the year prior. But somewhere along the line, we realised it presented a great opportunity to showcase the talents of our readers, many of whom had been sending us pictures of their successful projects for years. And so came the birth of our annual Beautiful Rooms competition, celebrating every room in the home. It’s been one of the most exciting things we’ve done – and still brings all of the team together each year to “ooh” and “aah” over your amazing style! It really is incredible to see what you’ve created for yourselves and your families.
