US fashion designer Betsey Johnson has listed her hot-pink Malibu trailer for sale at an eye-watering $2.8m.
The trailer was the first home Johnson bought after relocating to Los Angeles in 2016 from New York.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom mobile home is located in one of the most exclusive trailer parks in the world, Paradise Cove.
The quirky home was custom-styled inside and out and features lush, tropical landscaping that creates a private backyard oasis with outdoor soaking tub and multiple entertaining areas.
The property also offers bright and airy updated bathrooms, a pergola-covered outdoor living room, double-size master bedroom and unique retro touches throughout.
In an interview last year Johnson described her home as “a jewel box”, saying it has all her favourite treasures in it, collected over the years and displayed in an eclectic style that’s all her own.
“There’s old-fashioned, there’s classic, there’s everything,” she said.
“My little backyard is very Beverly-Hills-Hotel patterned. My backyard has all banana trees and Birds of Paradise. That’s that. It’s a dollhouse. Tiny and all mixed up.”
The trailer park has been home at one time or another to Matthew McConaughey, Pamela Anderson, and Minnie Driver, according to Architectural Digest.
Amenities include 24-hour guard-gated entry, a community tennis court and clubhouse, and access to one of the world’s most celebrated beaches.
232 Paradise Cove is listed with Ren Smith of Compass for $1.95m ($2.8m AUD).
